Die Gewinner der Golden Globes 2017 stehen fest! In der Nacht wurden in Beverly Hills die Preise vergeben. Abräumer des Abends war erwartungsgemäß der Film „La La Land“.
Bei sieben Nominierungen war es relativ gesichert, dass der Streifen den ein oder anderen Award erhalten wird. Aber dass der Abend dann so erfolgreich verlaufen würde, damit hatte wohl niemand gerechnet.
„La La Land“ stellte den Rekord der meisten Preise ein. Sieben Kategorien, sieben Globes. Mehr geht nicht! Bester Film, bester Regisseur, bester Soundtrack, beste Hauptdarsteller (Ryan Gosling & Emma Stone), bestes Drehbuch, bester Song.
Bisherige Rekordhalter waren „Einer flog über das Kuckucksnest“ (1975) und „Midnight Express“ (1978), für die es jeweils sechs goldene Erdkugeln gab.
Casey Affleck holte sich für seine Rolle in „Manchester By The Sea“ den Globe als bester Schauspieler in einem Drama. Bei den Damen räumte Isabelle Huppert für „Elle“ ab. Beide nehmen damit Kurs auf die Oscar-Verleihung, denn die Globes gelten traditionell als Richtungsweiser.
Nach fünf Nominierungen seit 2009 wurde Viola Davis diesmal endlich absolut verdient als beste Nebendarstellerin („Fences“) ausgezeichnet.
