Er hätte das in Zeiten von Lady Gaga und Rihanna gedacht – Katy Perry hat am meisten Nominierungen für die MTV VMA 2011 (Video Music Awards) eingeheimst!
Wenn wir richtig durchgezählt haben, müssten das genau neun Stück sein. Da wäre zum Beispiel eine Nominierung für „Firework“ als Video des Jahres, außerdem ist der Clip als bestes Video einer KünstlerIN nominiert.
Fast die einzigen Kategorien, in denen Katy nicht zu finden ist, sind Hip Hop, Rock und Newcomer. Verrückte Sache! Ihr aktuelles Video „Last Friday Night“ wurde als bestes Pop Video vorgeschlagen. Auch „E.T.“ hat diverse Erwähnungen gefunden.
Dicht auf den Fersen ist Adele, die mit ihrem Album „21“ einen echten Verkaufsschlager hingelegt hat. Sie hat immer noch sieben Nominierungen für die MTV VMA bekommen, eigentlich nur für ihren Song „Rolling In The Deep“.
Etwas abgeschlagen auf der Nominierungsliste, ist Newcomer Bruno Mars, der alleine für seine Hymne „Grenade“ drei Mal vorgeschlagen wurde und noch einmal für die beste Choreographie in seinem „Lazy Song“.
Weitere Nominierte sind Justin Bieber („U Smile“), Britney Spears („Till The World Ends“), Lady Gaga („Born This Way“), Eminem/Rihanna („Love The Way You Lie“) und nicht vergessen dürfen wir die 30 Seconds To Mars, die drei Preise gewinnen können.
