„13 Reasons Why“: Staffel 3 ohne Hannah Baker?

Staffel zwei der Netflix-Serie „13 Reasons Why“ dreht sich weiterhin um den Selbstmord der Schülerin Hannah Baker. Doch irgendwann ist auch dieses Thema einmal ausgetreten. Die junge Darstellerin Katherine Langford ist sich deshalb sicher, dass eine mögliche 3. Staffel ohne ihren Charakter auskommen wird.

Das erklärte Langford im Interview mit dem ‚Hollywood Reporter‘. „Es war solch eine wundervolle Möglichkeit, ihre Geschichte so vollkommen in Staffel eins zu erzählen. Und ich bin wirklich froh, dass ich gefragt wurde, für eine zweite Staffel zurückzukehren.“

„Ich weiß nicht, ob es eine dritte Staffel geben wird“, sagte die Australierin weiter. „Das könnte Hannahs letztes Kapitel gewesen sein, aber ich schätze, dass wir einfach abwarten müssen.“

Showrunner Rian Yorkey gab Hannah in der ‚Entertainment Weekly‘ auch kein definitives Go für die 3. Staffel, die ohnehin noch nicht bestätigt wurde. Hannahs Tod wird weiterhin ein traumatisches Ereignis für die Schüler und Eltern bleiben. „Es wird immer Teil der Story sein.“

Trotzdem wolle man sich mehr auf die anderen Charaktere konzentrieren. „Wenn die Story fortgesetzt wird, und es gibt gewiss noch viel über diese Charaktere zu erzählen, dann wird das Spotlight wahrscheinlich nicht mehr auf Hannah Baker sein.“

Am 18. Mai stellte Netflix die 2. Staffel von „13 Reasons Why“ online, die sich um den Gerichtsprozess rund um Hannahs Tod dreht.

Katherine Langford verabschiedete sich schon Mal auf Instagram von ihrer Rolle. „Hannah, ich liebe dich…und lasse dich gehen. Das sind die Worte, die ich bereits vor sechs Monaten sagen konnte, und nun kann ich sie endlich mit euch teilen.“

„Nächstes Jahr wird no13 ch viel kommen und ich kann es kaum erwarten, es mit euch zu teilen.“
