„Shadowhunters“ gewinnt GLAAD Media Award

Am Samstag wurden in New York die 28. GLAAD Media Awards vergeben. Unter den Gewinnern befindet sich auch die Fantasyserie „Shadowhunters“!

Die Show mit Katherine McNamara und Dominic Sherwood wurde als beste Dramaserie ausgezeichnet. Konkurrenten waren unter anderem „Grey’s Anatomy“, „How to Get Away with Murder“ und „Supergirl“.

Andere Gewinner des Abends waren das mit drei Oscars prämierte Drama „Moonlight“ und die Comedy-Serie „Transparent“.

Mit den GLAAD Awards werden jedes Jahr die Produktionen ausgezeichnet, die sich im letzten Jahr besonders um die LGBTQ-Community verdient gemacht haben.

Patricia Arquette erinnerte sich in einer bewegenden Rede an ihre verstorbene Schwester Alexis Arquette. Andere Stars auf der Gästeliste waren Whoopi Goldberg, Rami Malek, Janet Mock, Trevor Noah, Christian Slater, Don Lemon und Zachary Quinto.
