Kaum hat das neue Jahr begonnen, schon nähern wir uns mit großen Schritten dem Höhepunkt der Award Season. Heute Nachmittag (Dienstagmorgen amerikanischer Zeit) wurden die Nominierungen für die Oscars 2018 bekanntgegeben, und hier sind sie!
Erwartungsgemäß gehen die Streifen „Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri“, „The Shape of Water“ und „Lady Bird“ als Topfavoriten ins Rennen.
Als beste Schauspieler sind unter anderem Gary Oldman („Darkest Hour“), Margot Robbie („I, Tonya“), Denzel Washinton („Roman J. Israel“), Meryl Streep („The Post“) und Frances McDormand („Three Billboards…“) nominiert.
Verlesen wurden die Oscar-Nominierten von Tiffany Haddish und Andy Serkis im Samuel Goldwyn Theater mit Einspielern einer rein weiblichen Riege an Gaststars, bestehend aus Priyanka Chopra, Rosario Dawson, Gal Gadot, Salma Hayek, Michelle Rodriguez und Zoe Saldana.
Jimmy Kimmel wird zum Wiederholungstäter und hat die Ehre, zum zweiten Mal in Folge den wichtigsten Filmpreis der Welt zu moderieren.
Die 90. Oscar Verleihung findet am 04. März 2018 im Dolby Theatre in Hollywood statt.
