In der Nacht zu Montag fand im Dolby Theatre von Los Angeles die Oscar Verleihung 2014 statt. Wer bei den Oscars als Gewinner vom Platz ging und wer mit langem Gesicht die Heimreise antrat, erfahrt ihr jetzt!
Der zahlenmäßig erfolgreichste Film des Abends war „Gravity“ mit Sandra Bullock und George Clooney. Es hagelte insgesamt 7 Preise, wenn auch nicht in den Hauptkategorien.
Das Drama „12 Years a Slave“ räumte drei Mal ab und wurde zum besten Film gewählt. Wie erwartet schnappte sich Lupita Nyong’o die beste Nebenrolle und kegelte damit Jennifer Lawrence aus dem Rennen.
Drei Oscars sicherte sich auch „Dallas Buyers Club“. Matthew McConaughey wurde als bester Hauptdarsteller ausgezeichnet, Jared Leto als bester Nebendarsteller. Für beide war es der allererste Academy Award. „American Hustle“ und „The Wolf of Wall Street“ zählten ebenfalls zu den Topfavoriten, gingen aber überraschend komplett leer aus.
