Die für uns wichtigste Auszeichnung vorweg: Der deutsch-türkische Regisseur Fatih Akin gewann mit „Aus dem Nichts“ („In the Fade“) den Globe für den besten ausländischen Film.
Diane Kruger spielt darin eine Frau namens Katja, deren Mann und Sohn bei einem Bombenanschlag ums Leben kommen. Zwei Verdächtige aus der Naziszene werden festgenommen, aber Katja schwört auf Rache.
James Franco gewann gestern vor wenigen Stunden seinen zweiten Golden Globe nach 2012 („James Dean“). Lustigerweise ausgerechnet für seine Rolle in „The Disaster Artist“, einem Film über den Dreh des schlechtesten Films aller Zeiten, „The Room“.
Oscarpreisträgerin Frances McDormand („Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri“) und Gary Oldman („Darkest Our“) setzten sich in der Kategorie Drama durch.
Erschreckend, aber wahr: „This Is Us“-Star Sterling K. Brown gewann als erster Schwarzer überhaupt in der Kategorie bester Schauspieler in einem TV-Drama.
Bestes Drama wurde der Streifen „Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri“.
