Was in Deutschland die Echo Verleihung ist, sind in den USA die Billboard Music Awards. Am Sonntag fand die alljährliche Preisverleihung in der T-Mobile-Arena in Las Vegas statt. Wir verraten euch, wer 2016 zu den Gewinnern gehört.
Der Abräumer des Abends war der kanadische Sänger The Weeknd, der ganze 8 Preise mit nach Hause nahm. Unter anderem in den Kategorien bester R&B-Song („The Hills“), Top Song Sales Artist und Top Streaming Songs Artist.
Naturgemäß war auch Adele ganz vorn mit dabei, als es um die Vergabe der begehrten Awards ging. Für die Britin hagelte es 5 Billboards – darunter die für die beste Künstlerin, das beste Album („25“) sowie den Top Artist. Adele blieb der Veranstaltung in Vegas allerdigs fern, da sie gestern in Lissabon (Portugal) auftrat.
Die Gewinner der Billboard Music Awards werden anhand der Verkaufszahlen und Radioperformance ermittelt.
