Das Jahr ist noch gar nicht vollständig rum, da wird auch schon wieder die nächste Award Season eingeläutet. Den Anfang machen die Film Independent Spirit Awards 2016, deren Nominierungen heute bekanntgegeben wurden.
Geehrt werden, wie der Name bereits sagt, kleinere Independent-Produktionen sowie die Männer und Frauen vor und hinter der Kamera, deren Ziel es ist, auch mit schmalen Budgets wunderbare Filme zu erschaffen.
Ins Rennen um den besten Film gehen diesmal „Anomalisa“, „Beasts of No Nation“, „Carol“, „Spotlight“ und
„Tangerine“.
Oftmals können für diese Streifen große Hollywoodstars verpflichtet werden, denen die Kunst wichtiger ist als große Gagen. Zum Beispiel standen Mark Ruffalo, Michael Keaton, Rachel McAdams, Liev Schreiber und Stanley Tucci für „Spotlight“ (Deutscher Kinostart: 25. Februar 2016) vor der Kamera oder Cate Blanchett, Rooney Mara, Kyle Chandler und Sarah Paulson für „Carol“ (Kinostart 17. Dezember 2015).
Die Indepentent Spirit Awards werden am 27. Februar 2016 vergeben. Hier sind alle Nominierten!
