2017 hat Beyoncé die Chance auf neun Grammys, was sie bei der wichtigsten Preisverleihung in der Musikindustrie zu der absoluten Favoritin macht. Die Recording Academy gab am heutigen Dienstag die Nominierungen für die 59. Preisverleihung bekannt.

Dicht auf den Fersen sind ihr Drake, Rihanna und Kanye West, die mit jeweils acht Nominierungen ins Rennen gehen. Die Entscheidung, wer am Ende als Gewinner aus dem Abend hervorgeht, treffen die Mitglieder der Academy, zu denen Künstler, Songwriter, Produzenten, Mixer und Techniker gehören.

Eine der wichtigsten Kategorien ist das Album des Jahres. Nominiert sind diesmal Adele („25“), Beyoncé („Lemonade“), Justin Bieber („Purpose“), Drake („Views“) und Sturgill Simpson („A Sailor’s Guide To Earth“). Für Bieber ist es übrigens schon die vierte Nominierung bei den Grammys. Im letzten Jahr gewannen er und Jack Ü einen Award für Best Dance Recording für ihren Song „Where Are Ü Now“.
